Terms of service

These terms govern your use of placervillepowersports.com and any order you place through it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.

Who Can Order

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us at checkout.

Product Information and Pricing

We work hard to keep descriptions, images, specifications, availability, and prices accurate, but the catalog draws on manufacturer and distributor data and errors happen. We reserve the right to correct errors and to cancel or refuse any order — including one already confirmed — if an item was listed at the wrong price or is no longer available. If we cancel an order you've paid for, you get a full refund, and we'll tell you why.

Product images are representative. Colors vary by screen, and some listings show a representative photo rather than the exact variant.

Fitment Is Your Responsibility

Fitment data is provided as a guide. Machines get modified, model years overlap, and manufacturers change part numbers mid-year. Please confirm the part fits your specific machine before installing it — once a part is installed it's no longer returnable (see Returns & Refunds). If you're not sure, call us at (530) 748-3317; that's what 30 years behind the counter is for.

Order Acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. The confirmation email acknowledges we received it; the contract forms when we ship. We may limit or cancel quantities, refuse orders that look fraudulent, and decline to ship to addresses we can't verify.

Emissions, Competition-Only, and Restricted Products

Some products are not legal for sale, installation, or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles in California, and some are sold for closed-course competition use only. It is your responsibility to know and follow the law where you ride and register your machine. We don't ship restricted items to California addresses; if one clears checkout, we'll cancel that line and refund it in full. Installing a competition-only or non-CARB part on a street-registered vehicle may be illegal and may void your manufacturer's warranty.

Certain products carry California Proposition 65 warnings. Where a manufacturer supplies that warning, we display it on the product page.

Warranty and Disclaimer

Products carry the manufacturer's warranty, if any. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Powersports is inherently risky; you assume the risk of riding and of installing and using any part you buy from us.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost time, towing, lost income, or damage to a machine arising from installation or use of a product. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Service Work

Service, repair, and custom-build work performed at the shop is covered by the written estimate and work order you sign at the counter, not by these terms.

Intellectual Property

Site design, text, and photography are ours or used with permission. Product images, descriptions, and specifications belong to the respective manufacturers and distributors. Don't copy or republish them without permission.

Acceptable Use

Don't scrape the site, attempt to breach it, submit false information, or use it for anything unlawful.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in El Dorado County, California.

Changes

We may update these terms; the version posted when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
